Managing Director, Chitra Chandrasiri, oversees all aspects of the operation and activities of the Penthouse Above Sea. Her experience in Rooms Division Management, Training & Development, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing and a background along with extensive experience in opening hotels, bring a unique perspective to her position. A graduate of Hotel Management, she has previously served in management positions in several hotels in Australia and Asia including the Novotel Hotels, Furama Group, Sunway Hotels and the Marriott Hotel, Sydney as the Director of Services and as a Training Consultant for HTC Australia, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Royal Cliff Hotels Group.
Chitra Chandrasiri is also an expert trainer, an artist, dance enthusiast and a qualified yoga instructor. She offers private and group yoga classes, personal development workshops for individuals and corporate clients. Chitra is passionate about health, fitness and wellness and believes that everyone should lead a more balanced lifestyle and approach their lives in a more holistic way.
With extensive study in yoga, health & fitness and wellness, she has developed a finely tuned formula of what works and specializes in “ageless beauty”, sustainable weight loss and energy. She believes ultimate beauty is ultimate wellness and has built up a loyal and satisfied clientele from all walks of life from all over the world including celebrities, company CEO, artists and professionals.
Chairman/ CEO Ranjith Chandrasiri is responsible for food & beverage, sales and marketing. He was most recently employed as the Group General Manager of Jetwing Hotels Group in Sri Lanka and previously served in a similar capacity in the prestigious Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Thailand.
Ranjith has obtained a Hotel Management degree from Steigenberger Hotel School in Germany. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and a Certified Food and Beverage Executive (CFBE) by the American Hotel and Motel Association, USA. Ranjith is also the Founder/President of Asia’s leading wine clubs: The deVine Wine Club and The Royal Cliff Wine Club. He is the Bailli Honoraire (Honorary President) of The Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Pattaya, Thailand (World’s oldest and largest gastronomic society) Ranjith is fluent in several languages. Previously, he has served in management positions in various luxury hotels including Intercontinental Hotels Group in Europe, Asia and Australia.
